Here's my gen 3 battle facility rankings
Pyramid: Infinite dungeon crawling, basically the first iteration of Pokemon Rogue. Incredible idea and good execution
Factory: Good in idea, bad in execution due to poor coding, still like the gameplay of drafting togther the best team
Dome: Fun in that it's one of the few instances where you have to predict your opponent's mons, also interesting that all tourney battles have some amount of determinism to them
Pike: Fun romp but pretty much just RNG, when you're grinding for the symbol you stop checking the maids and honestly just hope to get lucky since the maids are at times just unhelpful
Tower: Yep it's the battle tower, and sometimes your opponent is a brightpowder double teaming crobat and fuck my mouth that sucks

Okay it's still the battle tower and it's not 2004 anymore I can just play online if I want to do battles
Arena: Nothing wrong per say but just kind of boring since it encourages strong coverage attackers and not much else
Palace: Garbage, literally RNG the gauntlet.

You have 0 strategy once you begin the facility beyond pressing A on attack, and requires you look up arbitrary stat info for any chance at success, unimersive and unfun
Conclusion: Not as hyped up as everyone says, only Pyramid, Factory, and Dome do something worth revisiting but Factory is bugged and the Tower is something in every game, the rest aren't anything to play the game again for
