>>53797831Yeah, same. Could have been a lot better, but I still had fun. Personally I'd prefer returning to a linear progression system for a more tailored experience. Open-world games just leave too big of an area to fill with too many variables to control. I don't think most studios are up for it, let alone Gamefreak. Preferably I would have liked the entire game to be a sort of "directional open-world" like Area Zero was. And if we're doing open-world, it really just needs better level scaling across the board. No reason gyms shouldn't at least somewhat scale with you if you can do them in any order.
I'd be really optimistic about the next games if I had confidence in Gamefreak's ability to learn lessons and build on previous experiences.
