i do dislike how some pokemon like blastoise lost their fangs but i think lapras fits better as a non-fanged creature a la yoshi, as it's supposed to be a friendly, peaceful creature that transports people; so i'm happy it has no noticeable teeth now

lol this but you can understand how in newer gens as designs get worse and worse how something like goldengo while not taking up a set "slot" is int the game in place of something they may have drafted that wouldve been much cooler or better looking

Gens 1 through 4 are arguable the original run of pokemon. The series was supposed to end at 2, then 3 was a sort of soft reboot, but the remakes and johto pokemon in hoenn tied it all together, then gen 4 expanded the lore (legendaries) and gave cross gen evos to older mons. Then gen 5 was another reboot.
