You guys get if you don't like the porn you can just ignore it right? Rule 34 has always been a thing and always will be, one of the founding rules of the internet goes all the way back to the 90s. The vast majority of pokemon popularity is actually game sales, I don't think pokemon is synonymous with porn at this point. Even the memes like "no laws against the pokemon batman" are memes that are flashes in the pan and the view counts range in the millions and not 10s of millions or 100s.

No, you unironically cannot just ignore it. It's enforced directly in creature designs now with the lean into furry/anthro designs over time. Trying to look up Charizard or Sceptile in Google Images you just get Charizard or Sceptile. Trying to look up Primarina or Meowscarada you literally seriously get porn/fetish options show up. The Gardevoir line is meant to resemble spring onions.

It flopped in arcades perviously t being put on the WiiU though.
Not to mention, it lunched pre-smash and could only generate 1m sales in the time frame between its launch and Smash's, some year and 5 months or so. That's why no-one's made moves to make a new one. Not worth it for the investment made.
