Masuda has said before in interviews that he really fucking hates Gen 5 so I imagine it will most likely get skipped over and we'll get Gen 6 remakes instead.

? HGSS are the best remakes. True Unovachads are fine with Johtochads, considering Platinum, HGSS, and Gen 5 were the last good Pokemon games.

Xy have the biggest potential of all games for remakes:

>include stuff atleast like BW had or better, Lumiose was huge but it had literally nothing, just pointless cafes

It had great QoL and interface, great multlplayer system, and a gigantic pokemon roster. Just keep that and add the content it desperately needed after the 3rd. Team Flare’s story will remain cringe though.

BW3. The fun of the games was seeing the region grow between the two years.
Now imagine how different the region could be after 10 year difference.
Maybe Bianca is the new professor, Cheren is an elite four member, Casteliacones have grown region wide franchise, Burgh and Clay kindle love together, the underwater marine tube is expanded, pinwheel forest overgrown!

My dream version of Z Version/Remake would be you get a Zygarde core (as an actual statted and playable mon) instead of the Kanto starter, and you collect Cells as the story progress to "Evolve" him into 10% form and maybe some other new Intermediate forms like 5% or 25%, till you get Complete form at the climax to slap the shit out of Xerneas/Yvetal and save the world from the superweapon. A bunch of cells would be blown off in the big explosion cutscene and you'd complete the final gym and elite four with access to 50% form. Post-Game would have a big scavenger hunt to find the other 50 cells to re-complete your Zygarde and finally get to use Complete form in actual gameplay outside of cutscenes. Also actually make Rhydon racing real, and give the Skates a reason to be used since as-is the Bike is superior in literally every way.
