I am just tired of mediocrity and sameness. This franchise is not what it was back in the days of B/W and HGSS. This community is not the same, neither, but I presume those who stay only do so in search for porn. Nothing is fun anymore and I'm tired of pretending it is. The games are mediocre at best, and considering every Nintendo game is now mediocre, that won't change. They tried to fire Masuda by promoting him, but the effects were none: the franchise is still headed by people who look down upon Pokémon players like a loyal cattle who will "buy it anyway".

It is just shameful that the best Pokémon game in the last ten years was the new Pokémon Snap, made by a completely different company with a whole lot of different talent that Nintendo simply lacks.

Even the new show just doesn't do it for me. It is just dust in a wind that howls "Pokémon is now about the trainers, not the characters."

The new games? Pokémon Go is just a travelling gadget, Sleep is spyware rubbish, Masters is gacha, Home is a barely functioning presidium were your Pokémon are kept hostage until GameFreak decides to softlock them in a game. Hackroms and such fan games are just sad punches in the wound of lost opportunities that GameFreak left in my heart.

I'm sharing this here because it is how many people here must feel too. Even the threads are the same over and over again.
