I did not care for Special Episode 5. The dialogue is very clunky, Celebi has too little screentime to be worth caring about, and it detracts from the ending of the main game.

All of PMD is very poorly written. People only like it because it doesn't sideline the Pokemon like GameFreak likes to do.

As much as it moved me, that thought was definitely sitting in the back of my mind. My favorite was always Special Episode 2.

There are very few games that don't completely sideline either story or gameplay. The few that don't are formulaic power-of-friendship JRPGs that PMD definitely falls under
