Just use Tera Flying Acrobatics to bypass the lack of item, it's not that big a deal. Or you can just use Tera Flying Tera Blast with an item. Either way, what we currently have is plenty to make up for the nerfed Gale Wings.

Never had a particular issue with it to begin with. Talonflame was solid in Gen 6, but got chosen as "Broken Smogonbird" by people who didn't actually play the game and had no idea what the fuck they were talking about.

I HATE when they nerf things that are already not powerful enough. The Gale Wings nerf, the removal of Mega Evolution, and the nerfing of Aegislash should have never happened. That's why Calyrex took over the entire game.

I do, I also don't get the protean nerf. Pokemon for all its flaws was the one series that didn't go around nerfing everything fun, but now even this crap series is doing it, in addition to cutting entire pokemon and dozens of moves. I miss power up punch.

That one was because of not meshing well with Terra.
Still shouldn't have been nerfed.
Keckleon lost his one good moveset (Shadow sneak/Sucker punch/Drain punch/coverage).
Then there's the sub 450bst mons they refuse to touch up like Mightyena.

I miss it, but I'm also kind of entertained that we are still correcting Gen 6's influence with nerfing Greninja three gens later. Gutting Talonflame, Aegislash, megas wasn't enough still.

bring back megas/more cross gen evos (but not kingambit shit, actual good designs)

havent played gen 9 competitive, will most likely skip it altogether or minimally play it eventually. everything after gen 7 is garbage

"gutting" is a strong word but they did lower its BST by 20 points (lost 10 points in both defenses in shield mode and 10 points in both offenses in sword mode) and also King's Shield only drops attack 1 stage rather than 2. However these aren't new nerfs, they were done in gen 8
