Besides being the same color they aren't that similar. Celesteela is just Kaguya with bamboos as rocket engines so she can reach the moon, I have no idea how any of that could be related to the Ultimate Weapon.

i simply havent played a pokemon game since XY, saw left pic after years, and assumed they finally decided to do more with the weapon is all after hearing theres now man made pokemon. i just find it weird that after 9 generations there still isnt much of an actual world because nothing ever gets fleshed out when they finish a region and move on it seems

To be fair some theories are kind of believable. The Magearna-Kalos connection was actually kind of sound, since its power source is derived from "life energy" stuff that XY and ORAS had as a plot device.

On the other hand, Celesteela vaguely resembling the UW was most likely a coincidence.
