Tajiri was an inexperienced director with great ideas and writing.
Masuda was a great musician with solid producer skills but who lacked great vision. His direction is fine enough.
Ohmori creates the projects he sets out to create, but they're fundamentally not Pokémon.

I think this is the referencing the recent Werster argument that compared to the massive sales boosts every other franchise got on the Switch, Pokémon's boost is relatively low. TotK sold over 10 million copies in 3 days, that's fucking massive in comparison to any other Zelda title. Even if Pokémon sold that amount in that time, and even if it ultimately sells more in the long run, it was already selling 17 million to begin with. That's not a 500% increase, it's more of a 50% increase.
