I'm doing a nuzlocke run of pokemon compass, a romhack of scarlet/violet that increases the difficulty through improved enemy trainer team composition, moves, levels and (seemingly) AI. under my ruleset, I only get a new pokemon after a story event, but I just got every member of my party other than a clodsire killed.

I'm kind of a retard at pokemon and don't use much in the way of strategy outside of type match ups and the occasional status move. clodsire is an awful attacker, so doesn't mesh well with my normal (lack of) strategy. but now it's the only thing that decides whether my run ends or continues. please teach me how to use a tank pokemon like clodsire to solo a gym without grinding to massively overlevel

the clodsire is currently around level 40, and the only story events I can reasonably access are the water and electric gyms (team star fights require 3 pokemon, and I've done all of the titan pokemon near my level range). he has the water absorb ability and a tera type of fighting. current moveset is yawn, low kick, megahorn and poison jab. but other than yawn they all seem pretty bad on him. any advice is appreciated, thanks in advance
