however it's also a closed one, where you have to join a discord to see what's said inside and what they do
so having a discord ends in creating a bubble cut off from /vp/ and 4chan, while having a thread up allows people to learn about /vp/ixelmon and take a look at the threads before joining
and asking people to bump the thread every now and then is inorganic and weird, let people argue and post in the thread, do we really need anything other than the thread?
and if one year no one stands up to make a server, then someone will make their own a bit later than usual but it will still be here
I mean just look at the amount of people threatening to make their own server if pig is a janny this gen, discord really doens't bring anything other than a place for attention seeking faggot to beg for attention all year long instead of just during the duration of the server
