For real, though, as bad as the story and fakemon are in that game, the gameplay is actually really solid, with some reasonably meaty challenges for a fangame that's designed with a core series mindset (as opposed to a Blaze Black-style difficulty hack mindset), and a plethora of options to choose from. The game was made by a German, and that shows in the form of some respectable precision engineering under the hood, if you can look past the poor production values on the surface.

Aside from the usual standbys mentioned by >>53851378 , Realidea System is great if you can look past the wobbly, incomplete translation. Good fakemon starters and regional forms, very solid QoL features, great tilesets, good Pokemon and move animations, decent soundtrack, and a surprisingly character-driven story.
