Yes. They’ve outright said this was the intention.

I prefer Gen 6 and 7 designs over 3, but it’s close between 3 and 7. It easily trashes 8 and beats 9 outside of the surprisingly great boomer pandering.

Thought it was weird they gave Megas to Pokémon who could've simply gotten evolutions instead. They should've only been given to Pokémon that couldn't evolve anymore.
