If it weren't for breeding being so boring I would argue with you. Breeding, specifically IVs, makes the whole training process feel like too much of a time investment.

This is not an own against Pokemon Scarlet and Violet; Showdown is a Pokemon battle simulator. Any post-game involving battles can hypothetically be ported over.
I wouldn't say that Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire's post-game is great just because it's a bunch of cutscenes, and I wouldn't say that the Battle Facilities of the earlier generations were bad just because they were focused on battles.

Which makes them worse because the NPCs are more retarded than the 1000 ELO mouth breathers of Showdown. At least they can switch most of the time.

You misread my post. I never said the old games didn't let you battle human players, just that it wasn't the majority of the post-game content. Or post-game content at all, necessarily.

I also never said that PVP was new, or that the new games have good post-game content. Just that Pokemon Showdown having it as well doesn't mean that it's bad.
