In terms of gameplay. Do you use legendary on your team or keep it in the box?

God, I hate how they give out shiny legendaries like candy. Makes my manually obtained shiny Giratina I worked so hard for look like a farce

What other way could you “keep them on your team?” But I box them as I always have a full team by then and dropping them for a OP mon feels lame

Sometimes I play with a legendary. I normally keep box legends in the PC, but I've used Azelf and the Regis before.

depends on the game. You can get normal mons that outclass even legendaries in usefulness that you can use for much longer, so i dont care much about the legendary label.
That being said the only ones i ever use are maybe a mythical i hacked into my team. Stuff like Dialga doesn't do it for me.

Back then I always used them, but nowadays I always box them in case I want to use them competitively in Ubers or something and not have their EVs tarnished

idk I think there's still merit in it, like it has your OT for one but most importantly it's not in a cherish ball, which feels kinda like a knock against event shinies

Depends on the legendary. I liked using Latios in my last playthrough of Omega Ruby because I never get a chance to use it in a playthrough, and I like Latios a lot.

Send it straight to the box, I have played so many of these games that I can normally make do without evolving a lot of my team so I definitely should not have something that breaks the game on my team. Plus, I don't want to allocate random EVs into something I get one of that I want to use later.

As a kid I remember using Latios and Latias because they were really hard to catch and I liked them, but outside of that I have no interest in using Box Legends because they're so much stronger than anything else you can face in the game that unless you literally have nothing else worth using, they're just overkill.
If I'm gonna be stomping the game, I want it to be done by Pokemon I actually raised, not the lv.70 fug I caught.

As an adult I still don't use legends and honestly dislike even using them in PvP, the only exception to this is Silvally because
1. he's fucking cool
2. he sucks so fucking bad its embarrassing to call him a "legendary pokemon"

Put them in the box. In my headcanon, it doesn't make sense for a 10 year old to capture such powerful pokemon. So either the main character is a Mary Sue, or these pokemon aren't that powerful. OR. You box/release after you complete their pokedex data, and all is right in the (poke)world.

I oftentimes use them (sometimes in Battle Towers by using Action Replay Codes) but strangely, for my recent Emerald playthrough where I tried to beat the game with only Dragons I didn't catch Rayquaza.

only legendary I added to my team, and have no issue keeping on my team.
I feel like zygarde would give 10% formes to trainers, if the pokemon's lore is as a surveillance
amalgamation.
Also, I really like dogs. And I like the design for it.

Standard Legendaries with 570 bst are fair game, but I'll only consider using them if they have a cool design and a unique type combination.
A standout example is Zapdos, though most of the time I already have Charizard as my flying type.

I prefer it when the box legendaries are optional catches. I usually free after filling the pokedex, but I free most pokemon because I feel bad about putting them in boxes.

One of tge main issues I have with legendaries and mythicals is how often they feel unearned. I wish they took a page out of other rpgs and they would put legendaries and mythical pokemon behind quests you have to work for. The games these days require you to do so little effort.

Most of the time i don't, The two times I did was on a replay with Zekrom in White since it felt right from a story perspective to do that, and while not technically legendary, I did use Iron Treads during the main campaign of Violet on a replay.

Last time I used a legendary on my was pearl and fire red. Used Zapdos in fire red and Palkia and Darkrai in pearl. Just used them cause they were cool. The way I see see legendaries in gameplay terms is based on the time I fought them Kalos league on my friends copy of Y. That is to say their stats and power are like 10 levels above what they're listed as.

I used the Lati they give you in ORAS, as well as Nebby in SM/USUM and the dog in SwSh

I "use" the bike mon in SV as the bike but I don't think that counts
