>>53873491>that’s interesting and technically follows in-game rules (Sceptile only has one ability). Technically has two, Overgrow and Unburden as its Hidden Ability.
All starters just have the main Overgrow/Blaze/Torrent and a Hidden Ability, but we've seen abilities change before, so it wouldn't be too big a shock to see it happen to a starter.
Unburden wouldn't be too bad if it got BDrum so you could pair it with a Sitrus Berry and have a blindingly fast attacker, but Sceptile's so frail it may not live past that BDrum.
>If Lightningrod became a slicing move it might push Sceptile into being metaLightning Rod is Mega Sceptile's ability, but if Unburden became Sharpness no reason not to change Lightning Rod, too.
The Sp. Attack boosts are nice, but Mega Sceptile already has super high Sp. Attack and 4x resistance to Electric anyways.
But swap Mega Sceptile's physical and special attack stats AND replace Lightning Rod with Sharpness. Now you've got a monster on your hands.
Sharpness would boost a couple of really strong moves in Sceptile's kit
>Leaf Blade>Night Slash>Aerial Ace>X-ScissorAnd paired with other excellent physical moves for coverage and boosting
>Earthquake>Drain Punch>Rock Slide>Swords DanceI think Sceptile would probably get more mileage out of Tough Claws, but Sharpness is much more fitting for it.
