Contrary would be great if it had any move to make use of it that wasn't Superpower. Its only physical options are Play Rough, Superpower, Iron Head, Outrage, Zen Headbutt, and Body Slam. Its special options are much better, but then it has no way to make use of Contrary.
135 special attack is great, but its moves generally have low power, with its only special options with more than 95 base power being Focus Miss, Hyper Beam, and Springtide Storm. 135 special attack with mid-tier attacks probably won't cut it on a Pokemon with only 106 speed and Lucario-tier bulk. It gets outsped and OHKO'd by Roaring Moon, Iron Valiant, Dragapult, Cinderace, Sneasler, Meowscarada (running a Poison move), Iron Moth, Walking Wake, H-Zoroark, and even slower Pokemon like Great Tusk after Rapid Spinning once.
