To cite a nip dictionary, "yadokari" means:
1) Hermit crab
2) Freeloading, or a freeloader
3) Staying the night somewhere, or someone who does this
Slowbro being a yadokari Pokemon is a pun, the word "yadokari" doesn't actually have anything related to crabs in it, so there's nothing really wrong with making a "hermit crab Pokemon" that's not an actual hermit crab... or a crab at all, since the Japanese word doesn't literally have anything to do with crabs. He doesn't seem to get that, nor does he seem to know that yadokari actually IS used in normal Japanese to refer to people that stay in places where they don't actually live.
He's right that the "hermit crab Pokemon" translation doesn't work, but all that shit about how it "directly translates to hermit crab, but if you break down the kanji characters then..." is just him not knowing as much nip as he thinks he does.
