>>53873638For those who may not be familiar with Elder Scrolls lore and what C0DA is, I will try to explain it:
>Context?C0DA itself was a script for a graphic novel written by former Elder Scrolls writer Michael Kirkbride. It puts forward the idea that in these works, set in a fictional world, ultimately the decision of what is the lore is determined by the people who use them as a framework to build on top of, both individually and collectivelly. Since these works are ultimately all in our heads, it makes no sense and lore is all expressed through our works and interactions with the games.
>but what really IS c0da?Fans have since starting to use the concept of "*my* c0da". If you have spent time in tes lore circles you might have heard the phrase "this is going to my c0da" when discussing some interesting concept, for example.
This basically mean that everyone has their own c0da, their own interpretation of the fictional world and its lore.
>isn't this just headcanon? No, coda goes a step further beyond than the idea of canon. C0da is the complete shattering of canon, and the recomposition of it in the form of c0da.
To give a non gaming example, there's no Arthurian legend canon, everyone's vision and retelling of these, with established themes, characters, aesthetics, etc. is still different. Touhou is similar to this as well.
There's more to it than this abridged explanation, but what I propose is, if we want to see this godforsaken franchise saved, to tear appart canon and officiality, and embrace c0da.
