I'm honestly mad that the sandwiches in SV use normal ass ingredients rather than stuff that exists in the the Pokémon universe. For example, why the fuck are they using normal ass tomatoes instead of tamato berries? Arven even holds one in his hand in his official art. And where the FUCK does the fucking meat come from?? They didn't think this shit through at all. It pisses me off and breaks my immersion

It's weird that Pokemon intentionally steered away from including references to real-world animals/locations like they usedto in earlier games/anime episodes, then just hard-corrected the other way by including regular meats and seafood in SV.

I remember someone mentioning that Masuda(?) had said something along the lines of meat being synthetic in the (modern) Pokemon world, but I can't find that interview anywhere. But yeah, Pokemon are 100% eaten.
