Pokémon is very light on yokai designs which is a shame. I guess they are too region specific for westerners to understand. That being said, I’d love a Kasa obake.

Pokemon has tons of yokai designs, it's just that they don't literally just draw a cartoon version of a yokai, they integrate the concept with something else

Ehhh...not really. But with post Sinnoh gens there haven't been much yokaimons to my knowledge. Or at the very least the numbers been getting smaller with the exception of like Hisui region.

It can be multiple things. Also notice if you just quickly glance it seems like H.Decidueye has only one eye and a frowning yellow mouth. Even the person who made the OP image must have seen the similarities since they used the exact same pose and proportions
