This is a good, fun rom hack but it forces you to play stall and work around silly factors like 'inverse battling'
This would be fine but dealing with toxic protect spam and bulky pokemon is annoying if you haven't even unlocked Taunt or good STAB moves through level up and TM
Am I in the wrong feeling this way?

im sorry i dont enjoy the game if the limiting factor is if i get a second protect after my opponent is badly poisoned since i cant taunt them or use any moves that can barely 3HKO them lmao

When you start up the game and choose a new playthrough the game gives you multiple warnings about Insane mode and that you shouldn't pick it unless you truly want to

well maybe you're coming to the slow realization that pokemon 6v6 singles with optimal builds and EV spreads will have everything devolve into stall, at least the game throws you a bone and you occasionally have doubles VGC matches

duh. stall is the safest therefore optimal strategy, that's what I've been saying. a team of singles 6v6 or 4v4 doubles hyper offense in competitive rarely works ever. not in singles, not in VGC

You're crying about the game despite the fact that you picked a difficulty mode that you have to go out of your way to get if you do the quiz at the start of the game (it can't give you Insane, you have to manually opt out of it and select it) and on top of that the game gives multiple warnings it will feel unfair and tedious and you will die a lot
And oh by the way, the game does just flat out tell you there's a hard cap enabled at the start and by going into the options menu for 2 seconds you can clearly see you can't enable items for yourself or use shift mode and that the only way to enable them again is by switching to a lower difficulty

Like what the fuck did you expect bro. For them to say the harder than hard mode just adds one or two shitmons to the enemy team like in BW2 and that's it?

Also if you need stall to beat insane, you're still bad

when you play a game and pick the hardest difficulty, do you really assume it will always be nothing but stupidly unfair restrictions? I don't, that's why I chose it lol

Yes?
Just because it's common for lazy AAA devs to make their hard modes piss easy shit where enemies have 1.5x health and nothing else doesn't mean I wouldn't heed a warning that's put in the game
Especially when Unbound itself, if you say you're a new player, gives you a questionnaire that prevents you from picking the hardest difficulty mode unless you actively seek it out

I'm playing on expert. Ive made unlocked mega evolution and I feel like I've beaten most bosses through lucky breaks than through skill.

I think one flaw of unbound is the lack of good tms. Most of them are withheld to late to end game.

Also the part where you fight the guy who capture zapdos can go eat a bag of dicks. His swoobat being able to out speed my crobat that has maximum speed ivs, a speed benefiting nature, and maximum speed evs is horseshit.
