If it were me, I'd go even further on the genning to not only protest how the competition was handled, but also to protest the games themselves and their ridiculous expectations for grinding competitive teams.

That should be enough to still be seen as "legit". If EV Berries aren't allowed, replace them with the Confusion Berries. If just Metronome isn't enough for a fuck you, I'd consider filling with rest of the moveslots with uncompetitive moves that does no damage and wastes everyone's time like Splash.

TPC, aka the headquarter in Japan, not TPCi.
VGC was hold by TPCi globally because it's a tournament for kaijin and TPC only care about PTCG. For some reason, TPC decided to take over VGC in Asia since 2020 and made minimum effort on it.

You can cry about genned mons all day, but the VGC organizers do not care, and have never cared about them. If it passes their extremely basic heck check, they're good to go.

How did the pokemon used by those players give them a competitive advantage? IVs are within 31 and EVs within 508. All legal moves and abilities. Everything used was obtainable in game, how is this cheating?
