While it is really lame to stumble upon(or save) a lower-leveled objective for later, I had fun ditching my entire party for those fights and picking out scraps from my boxes.
I just did a second playthrough with the opposite version and rotated out ~15 party members, and was still at a low enough level for encounters to require some thought.

I dont mind the "open world" if autoscaling existed, the game already has roadblocks like Tulip's city , the dodonzo lake and all the ice zone so they already are tracing a route to follow

the only thing you get for not following a specific pattern is your main team being overleveled as fuck and 40% of paldea's land filled with level 20-25 pokemon

Why's that? You would still be able to do anything in any order you want, thus keeping the open world completely intact. How the game actually is makes it clear they want you to play in a certain way.

Also find it funny you call New Vegas linear when the map clearly shows different variations of routes to get to Vegas and do the early game. The devs don't force you in any path and the story can continue regardless of if the went through the red route or not.

Well, yeah, because level scaling is a cheap way to fix a badly designed open world game, but it'd be better than what we have now. Although level scaling on gyms based on badges makes sense both from a gameplay perspective and from a lore perspective.

On Isle of Armor when it comes to wild encounters there's level scaling
The Towers are also balanced around you having a Lvl 30 or 70 Kubfu though, but that's less dynamic scaling than the wild encounters
Idk how it is on the crown tundra though

The only solution for an open-world Pokemon game is to make the harder areas absolutely brutal. You can complete everything in this route with a team averaging level 35 or so, so there's rarely any need to actually divert once you pick a direction to travel around the map in. The level curve should cap out at about 80 and there ought to be more mandatory trainer battles.
