Are you eating an encounter sandwich of the type you want to hunt near the area where said outbreak can spawn? Anecdotal data says it works to attract outbreaks of said type, of course if there are other possible choices from the same type those will pop up too but it seems to work eventually

Yeah I've been doing all that, I even keep going back and forth between places where Petilil naturally spawns; the lower left corner of Paldea and the surrounding grassy areas right below the desert. Shit sucks. I want a Jumbo sized Petilil in a specific Ball, otherwise I'd have transferred one in from Legends..

I got my shiny petlil on the path just east of the northerly most team star area, the one ran by the short white kid in pink. It was a challenge but I feel like with a grass sandwich there I had the best luck.

The come in hordes so it's easiest to just run up and down the path until you can spawn a petlil horde as opposed to slow walking.

Also it is challenging as a few other grass types spawn there, but I still feel it is the optimal location to hunt your target. I did get a jumpluff and lurantis first and I believe it was like a 5 sandwich hunt, but all things considered it's like your best odds.

You need to run two trickroom setters if you want to run dedicated trickroom or you need to have a lead on your team to handle taunt if you aren't dedicated. Also hatterene magic bounce is a good technique even if it isn't a setter and more of a room sweeper.

Cresselia is nigh impossible to kill before it sets up TR and has amazing utility, Dracovish is easy to deal with if your team isn’t hot fucking garbage, Palafin is strong but not as good as Cresselia and fucked hard by Amoongus

I'm finally getting around to catching the Ruin pokemon, but with all the brown in the Bowl Moose and Slug's designs, it's hard to figure out what the most aesthetic ball to catch them in would be.
The fish is easy, Fast Ball if I can get an auction for them, and I already caught the cat in a Premier Ball.

G zapdos is weak to fairy which is the most common type, and most Ursalunas run a defensive tera like water or grass because of Urshifu water and shit like Chein Pao. Any skilled player will just literally play around it.

It's a feature that's been in every game since it's introduction until they made the arbitrary decision to pull it and not replace it with anything.
While Seasons, Pokemon-Amie, PokePelago, etc, were just in their own generation.

You could argue GTS was a (3)DS thing.

DP are on the DS and got released 2006.
Last games with built-in GTS were USUM from 2017.
The first games to cut GTS again were the Let's Gos from 2018.
There's also no GTS in SwoSh from 2019 and Home only got released in 2020.

So i tried to go back to playing sword and shield and let me tell you that game is extremely painful to play. Scarlet and Violet arent perfect but goddamn are they better by comparison
For starters sword and shield: are slower for everything, moving, dialogue, battles, trying to find the right pokemon under the right weather conditions and resetting your switch up a year just for certain spawns, the fucking camera doesnt exist in thr game, try as you might to see whats ahead of you you cant because its fixed

Eggs can be done without Herba for level 2, if you want level 3 autism you need Herba in the recipe. Shiny recipes are always done with Herba, no ifs or buts in those because levels 1 or 2 don't exist

I have an issue.
I only bought and started to play Violet once HOME support was out because I bred a bunch of shiny mons in gen 2 and wanted to play though with them. One of them my Ursaluna has some kind of issue, every time I try to use it in a Tera raid I get an error saying there is something wrong with a pokemon in my party.
It went from Crystal to Bank To Ultra Moon for EV training back to Bank then to HOME and then sat in PLA until Violet support came out. My Infernape had the exact same path and no issues. The only thing I can think is the nickname. "Kesagake".

Anyone got any idea if this is the case?

Rillaboom is still broken. Grassy surge is broken. Drum beating and wood hammer in terrain alone are great options. Utility in knock off and u-turn and it can comfortably slot those four moves into either av or choice sets. Also grassy seed acrobatics Tera flying is pretty awesome too in it's own rights. Nice counter to grass types trying to resist rilla's attacks.

However I just meant that it's a shame that you can't get Rillaboom in a safari ball in swsh. I would have shiny hunted that ball combo years ago.

No GO Mythicals or Legendaries are blocked unless you transfer something from a mainline game then it works fine.
So if I borrowed a deoxys from something to place in my game then remove I can then transfer it freely.

Nope it’s all Pokémon, legendary or not, say you had a Whirlipede in Go you wanted to send to SwSh but hadn’t caught it yet, it wouldn’t let you send it over, it’s a pointless roadblock made to make you buy more games instead of just using Go’s FTP method, Gamefreak doesn’t realise the last Diancie event was in 2016 so most people don’t have one and when Go drops it, it’ll be left rotting in Home
It can be bypassed but you need two phones to do it

Maybe an honest oversight from HOME team, Regieleki was added fairly recently to GO and they probably forgot to add the roadblocks as it was wasn't a priority for 3.0 release

1. Another "mistake" from HOME team as not many players have Galarian Birbs in GO so this one has lingered a bit longer unnoticed.

Pretty sure mythicals aren't needed.

I don't know if it's a grift, and I don't think I actually care either.
What I've been doing is taking those obviously fake high value shinies you get over Wonder Trade with names like PokeGen.nz or FuckFace.tv, and putting them up on GTS for the SwSh legends I need to fill my dex, having skipped that genertation.
Everything else I need is easily obtained by posting a Paradox mon.
At this rate, I'll have that Magearna by tomorrow evening.

Anything you breed in Paldea will become a Fancy pattern egg. If you want Vivillions for trade you have to:

A. Breed them on Gen 6 or 7 when applicable to a region's pattern
B. Pin postcards in GO until you get a desired pattern and then send it to HOME for evolving at SV (slow method imo)
C. Send a postcard which you pinned from B to your SV game, catch a bunch of those pattern's Vivis and trade them (fastest)

Iron Treads and Great Tusks at event 5 stars caves, they are random Tera types. Nothing too rare if you have entered a Union Room to catch those in Area Zero because you wanted them with your OT but at least these have 4 IVs guaranteed from the get go

The other event is the 7 stars rerun of Chesnaught
