What went so wrong in a man's life that he became a pro-nuzlocker? Bear with me, bear with me.
It is okay to be a speedrunner, since the idea of finishing games fast is global to all games. At its end, speedrunning is a form to make noncompetitive games competitive. But to be a nuzlocker - that is, to abide to a small set of rules specific to a few titles exclusive of a specific game series to the point you call yourself professional at it - is frankly ridiculous. That is like calling yourself a pro-Knight mover chess player, or a pro-"shiny egg" breeder. It is ludicrous that these people have any audience, much less that they wake up in the morning with a remaining ounce of respect for themselves. Nuzlocking is neither competitive, awe-inspiring or impressive: there is no better or worse nuzlocker, and nuzlocking does not add anything to the competitor's life since it is not their videogame skills being tested, but the knowledge and RNG of an specific old game.
You're the hobbyist of hobby.
Simply put, nuzlocking is ridiculous, there is no competitive aspect to it (so you cannot call yourself a pro-nuzlocker), it adds nothing to the lives of people who watch and engage in "pro-nuzlocking" (basically a self-appointed title), and is the single most stupid aspect to the Pokémon brand. So ridiculous it is that Nintendo completely refuses to acknowledge it, and they are right.
