>heracrosscool, consistently popular mon with a lot of moveset potential. his bodytype sets him apart from most of the more humanoid pokemon reps.
>grovylecool lizard dude that would fill the gap left behind by the loss of either greninja or lucario. could lean pretty heavily on mystery dungeon for moveset stuff.
>chandelurebeloved ghost type mon with a unique shape that represents gen 5 pretty well. maybe give him a "soul burning" mechanic, where staying close for too long causes passive damage over time.
>a second pokemon trainersame deal as Kanto Trainer, but from a different region. swap around the typings too (water or grass final evo, fire or water middle, grass or fire first stage). no clue which gen they'd pick from. personally, i'd want a Johto trainer, but i think a Sinnoh or even Alola one could work well. the whole "trainer" archetype is the best thing pokemon has ever had in smash.
