Kalos had Greninja exclusively in the top 10 to the point of it basically absorbing most of that region’s votes; even the actual stages of the other two who got real screentime and push (Braixen and Chespin) failed to do well, with Chesnaught in particular failing to even make it onto the board in the smallest region roster to date. Galar in the PotY polls was also pretty much tallied before any “definitive” shilling or push, being only 3 months into the gen, but Rillaboom also already flopped pretty hard there in comparison to the other two.
