>>53924588gen 1 had a very solid story and was something that was never really done before at the time. it created the whole pokemon world and was kinda like earthbound where the setting isn't high fantasy like dragon warrior or final fantasy. the villains weren't that evil but some thugs causing trouble and trying to get power and what they want. but the main point is setting up this world and you achieving your goal of beating the elite 4 with a good rival and memorable areas and characters. basically the start of everything, just because it seems so familiar to you now, you can't forget about how none of that shit existed before the first game and it created all of it in gen 1. so that's a very good story and world they created.
gen 2 was also good, 3 years after the first game, the bad guys come back to try to get their leader back, your rival is mysterious, and you can piece together that he's giovanni's son who was the leader of team rocket in the first game. has good plot points like the rival using pokemon for power but near the end of the game there's the subtle character development of his crobat evolving showing that he finally came to love his pokemon. many memorable events and areas like slowpoke well, dragon's den, clefairy's dancing in mt moon, etc. more great character and world development.
gen 3 had a cool plot too with the legendaries fighting. not bad at all, actually pretty awesome. definitely wasn't generic shit, tried something different.
anyway x & y is just uhhh fuck it, try to make it like gen 1 again except shit and as retarded as we can possibly make it because the wii sold a lot because we tried to target absolute drooling retards i guess, lol idk. evil organization in that game is just like lol we're bad again. does nothing different. lame PBS characters that don't do shit, no personality besides being pussies. feels completely dialed in. can't just say it's as good as gen 1's story cuz they tried to soullessly copy it except worse
