I'm not so sure about that. I mean, we didn't get two remakes on the 3DS, and Game Freak has been padding the release schedule with weirder titles as well. That also having been said, it really depends on when the Switch's successor is announced. Regardless, yeah the Gen 5 remakes will be bad, no matter who does it they won't fix any of the core issues the game has and instead put more problems on top of it. It's not like HGSS where they tried to mitigate some of the worse stuff while also giving us more content on top of it.

Slower speed every cutscene, graphics that are somehow worse than poorly scaled sprites, defeating the purpose of EXP scaling by adding tons of EXP multipliers and also affection bonuses, and B2W2 not being remade so we miss out on the multiple battle facilities in that game. Also, cutting content from the original game, if they're feeling ORAS. Actually, I doubt they'd include triples or rotations at all, especially if it's an ILCA title, so that's one thing that's cut for sure.
