None. I dont use items in battle. The battle was closer than the pic would suggest, Xatu only came out after everything died and won because Kingdra was locked into Hyper Beam.

Lapras, Xatu, Lanturn, Teddiursa, Heracross, Donphan. Lapras is the highest leveled mon at like 31 or 32. Lanturn is the lowest at 27.

old Pokemon games had at least some degree of difficulty, now they're just baby-fied and can be facerolled without any grinding. when I first played Blue version as a dumb 6 year old I went through the entire 1st cave in the dark without using Flash. now they've removed HMs entirely, lol. I can't imagine zoomers today spending days on that cave like I did without just giving up (or searching how to do it on youtube which obviously wasn't around in 1998)

Has it really come to the point where zoomer is a generic lazy insult that has lost all meaning?

The oldest zoomers grew up on gens 3 and 4 and literally nobody had any issues with the difficulty, even though parts of Emerald and Platinum would be pretty hard for a young kid

And then there’s those whose first games were Colosseum or XD

It's not about beating the game,it's about doing it with my favorites and getting an even challenge.The shitty level curve makes it almost impossible to use any of the late game mons(Phanpy,Skarmory,Dratini) and turns all trainer battles into boring curbstomps.

I'd argue Masuda is even worse. There was an interview back during Gen 2 where Tajiri said he specifically didn't make the legendaries version-exclusive because he didn't want people to buy the same game twice. After he stepped down and was replaced by Masuda, the immediate next game had four version-exclusive legendaries and that number has only increased with each new game
