you idiots should stop asking for regions based on countries. this concept maybe was cool in gen 5, but now it feels uninspired and derivative. I don't care if you think your shithole would make a really cool pokemon region, in practice it would be a permutation of the same slop GF has been shitting out for years now.

pokemon was better when regions were only vaguely related to japan anyways.

You think they're vaguely related cause the Pokemania, the 90s anime boom and 4kids localization made you identify Pokemon as a "western franchise". Johto is the most obvious one but there's tons of trad jp architecture, dress, references to shintoism and buddhism, and other cultural things across the OG 4 regions.
