long story short, Dragoneer used to live right next to an Olive Garden or really close to one. A bunch of his friends went to said Olive Garden and didn't invite him. Dragoneer got so pissy that he went on a tangent on his friends, and he ended up being alienated from most of them.

To be fair, the website is built on like 20 years of severe technical debt. It has never received a code refresh, which is less than what can be said about the shitfucks at Twitter or Facebook. I can't even begin to imagine trying to implement a blacklist function.
Also, the site's staff basically all quit thanks to COVID(some even died during the pandemic,) so now we have a brand new staff team completely detached from the original.

I remember the massive FA leak a while ago.
Everything that was ever uploaded still existed on the server under a username, even if deleted. Many people who were in the furry fandom would delete all of their old stuff in embarrassment and try to disassociate themselves with their old names. They'd leave relatively normal lives.
But then, the site was hacked and EVERYTHING that was ever uploaded at any point during the site's existence was made public. That old drawing of a wolf giving another wolf a blow job you deleted 11 years ago? Up there, associated with your name, and there was absolutely nothing you could do to take it down.
I would be fucking pissed at the administration for holding onto those files for so fucking long with no purpose. People want to move on, but now they can't, due to a specific small window of time in their lives.
