I think Birch has the most interesting area of study and you can really tell how Hoenn is very diverse and Pokemon where Pokemon are placed becomes important. Kukui studying moves feels very underutilized and forced. I really wanted him to tell me what a Shadow Ball was instead of just big powerful moves that look cool. He did call me cousin and made me part of a family so he's number 1 in my heart.
