>>53933013>Yeah, but improbable =/= impossible. If somebody gets 4 turns of full paralysis in a row will they be banned for hacking?Shit analogy and also missing the point.
First of all, it's impossible to be actively hacking during the event like you're saying, so its automatically ruled out. "Hackers" aren't like some 80's flick where some dudebro with a mullet is "hacking into the pokemon's main frame!".
Secondly, even if it was possible, the odds of getting 4x paras in a row aren't that low. It's rare, sure, but you're comparing against something that's 1 in a billion+ some, all occurring in an extremely short time frame. Again, technically possible, but so absurdly unlikely that the odds alone are enough to call it hacked.
Thirdly, and most importantly, is that you're failing to realize that TPC is not a democracy. They call the shots in their own tourney. If something looks like theres a good chance its hacked they dont need to go through some supreme fucking court to prove plausible deniability or some shit. Added to that, these players were actively trying to protest by harming the event. Theyre NOT going to be lenient.
>b-b-but other players have hacked pokemonI dont keep up with VGC drama shit, but my understanding is that this is in reference to Wolfe having a Dream Ball Aegislash. First, even though he 100% hacked it himself, he technically had plausible deniability via the "I got the source mon it in a trade" shit. But, more importantly, Wolfe is an asset to TPC, he's a popular youtuber who competes and helps them advertise. Theyre not going to give that much of a shit there.
