i don't like the jagged, unnatural seeming edges, the head resembling a hat, the general shape of it etc.
i really like the concept of a mata mata that's a landmine, but i would've made it WAY smaller and also a way more subdued color scheme as if it's evolved to blend into the ground. have it not be constantly standing up and instead just lies basking on the floor waiting for unsuspecting prey to step on it.
