>Ogerpon or the Mask is likely connected to Herba Mystica in some way. >Ogerpon could be influenced by the mask, turning once harmless pranks into evil deeds, without it even realizing the escalation, until we face off against it becoming the Ogre King form, and the height of it’s power. >The Teal mask is referencing a Kappa, the jewel in the forehead is the ‘dish’ that signifies the Kappa’s power. >A Kappa’s ‘sara’, or dish, is the source of it’s power, that if drained or dries up makes them lose power. Ogerpon has a direct connection with a Tera Crystal right on the forehead. >DLC 2 requires DLC 1 to be complete, because it will utilize the Teal Mask in the Indigo Disk storyline. >Ogerpon or the Mask is likely connected to Herba Mystica in some way. >DLC 2 will likely utilize the Teal Mask in the Indigo Disk storyline. >Terapagos once utilized the power of the mask, likely to empower itself with Psychic typing; though it likely lost it sometime before the story when Ogerpon stole the Mask, or perhaps simply the crystal that was used to make it. >perhaps like Ogerpon, Terapagos itself is not ‘evil’, but it is that the mask it wears is connected to the true ‘evil’ within the ‘Time Machine’.

>>53951125 >Terapagos is NOT a reference to a ‘World Turtle’; a Turtle Island, sure, but World Turtle is already taken by Torterra. >Terapagos is a Minogame, which in one legend was stated to emit a poisonous gas from it’s mouth that killed three men. >The likely species of Sea Turtle Terapagos will be based off is the Loggerhead or Leatherback; both know for cases of Chelonitoxism, a rare condition caused by eating turtles that fed on algae blooms that turn their meat toxic and dangerous to eat. >Terapagos will become an Aspidochelone-like Pokémon, either through evolution, or more likely, a form change via item or fusion. >Aspidochelone is going to possibly be a Fairy/Ground type, with perhaps a Dragon/Psychic focus in it’s moves or abilities, or perhaps even all four typings are involved if including it’s Tera Typing. >Terapagos becoming an Aspidochelone, and possibly gaining the Psychic type, could be in reference to it attaining Divinity; Suijin is a Japanese god of various water monsters, and even of Kappa, and it is often combined with Ryūjin, the Dragon God of the Sea, of which we know is the same being utilized in the story of Urashima Taro, the obvious inspiration for DLC 2, the Indigo Disk. >It may or may not end up being a ‘fusion’ with the Ride Koraidon/Miraidon being stolen from us, which brings about the power up and replacing it’s fairy typing with the ‘dragon’ typing. >This form may or may not have differences to reference the past or the future, depending on which ‘Raidon is used in the fusion. >Paldea may in fact have been the ‘original’ Terapagos, that suddenly died and left behind the miniature ‘world’ on it’s back, possibly the ‘Time Machine’, and also the newborn Terapagos we end up meeting. >>53951142 >Terapagos is not the size of Paldea, because it is currently malnourished; it never ate the Herba Mystica after it hatched to fully grow to ‘Titan’ proportions, because the Mask, or Ogerpon, either of which likely create and maintain/cultivate the Herba Mystica, were gone. Anonymous

>>53951144 >Ogerpon has physical changes on it’s body when under the effect of the Mask, gaining horns/branches/a mustache, it’s likely the power alters Pokémon and their types, like how Paradox Pokémon are just ever so slightly different from their base Pokémon, because physical features change. >This is an artificial form of evolution, forcing changes in observed Pokémon to cause them to be better adapted to idealized conditions: Apparently in this case the ancient past and far future. >This more likely heightens the connections between Terastal Crystals and Mega Stones, due to the fact the unknown source of the ‘Ultimate Weapon’ used to channel Infinity Energy from Xerneas/Yveltal could very likely have been from the Great Crater. No known civilization appears to exist or be mentioned prior to the establishment of the Paldean Empire, meaning other world powers, like ancient Kalos, could have explored these lands and even established civilization in Paldea. >>53951308 Wartortle I at least can understand, it’s an actual turtle. But Lapras? No, no way at all is that true.
>>53951352 I mean it’s not really a Kappa, just Kappa inspired. It’s more likely Ogerpon stole some crystal that was put into the mask, than actually stealing some kind of mask from Terapagos. Because Terapagos is viewed as a ‘bad guy’ it’s a Kappa mask, because Kappa are evil turtle-shelled demons.

>>53951359 >But Lapras? No, no way at all is that true. In-universe, Lapras is evidently what the minogame from the Urashima Taro fairytale was.
SV is codename “Atlantis” anyway and deals with time, so we may be getting a princess themed legendary in the DLC to complete that fairytale if we consider Terapagos as the minogame. The first DLC is momotaro and we pretty much already have the main characters from that story, so we could be getting both tales in both updates.

>>53951175 This immediately falls apart when you realize that Ogrepon switches back and forth with the mask and the paradox mons do not.

>>53952012 It can switch back and forth because it has access to the stolen Tera gem, or more likely is already the source of it’s own form. Ogerpon undoubtedly has a unique connection with Herba Mystica, whether it is making it or cultivating it like a farmer; we have seen it causes overgrowth in Pokémon to become giant because they become so healthy ingesting it. If the same effect is applied to Ogrepon, it may just have a unique ‘Titan’ form separate from what Terapagos is doing with Paradox Pokemon.

Imagine if we're able to "evolve" our Pokemon into their Paradox forms. Imagine the poor Amoongus that gets evolved into a Brute Bonnet
