The thing I hated about this is the 20 mons crammed into every route since it takes FOREVER to find a pokemon with a specific ability or nature

While blaze black 1 is good, it still shows age, especially coming out 3 weeks after the international release of BW1. Modern Dray makes better hacks. Vintage white is much better. It has only gen 1-3 mons in the main story, but most of them are spiced up to be unique, example is dark/flying Fearow with intimidate, or Normal/Ghost Keckleon with adaptability. The gyms are pretty insane, with Lenora having a level 28 Slaking, and burg being a double battle with numerous east game threats.

NTA but there’s a huge mod for BDSP called Luminescent Platinum that basically turns the game into Renegade Platinum, adds Hisuian forms, and tons of other stuff. LP is officially finished with 2.0F, but what was going to be 3.0 will be essentially a new mod (kind of like BlazeBlack 2/VoltWhite 2 Redux) that adds the full National Dex up to Enamorus and lots of other big changes and additions being kept under wraps. Unfortunately, they aren’t doing De-Chibification, nor adding the Distortion World, Megas, Z-Moves and Dynamax, because all of those would be a whole other can of worms that would probably take forever, but everything else already changed, added, and planned still make it worth playing.
