>>53972447But that doesn't explain any western popularity. Shit, I live in Japan and take the trains daily and see the people driving the trains because my daily commute is at the far exit of the station, but I just don't get it. Yes, there are train otaku, but I never got the impression that the trains were the reason for Ingo and Emmet's popularity even as someone who had been here in 2010. I think it's because they're the closest thing to otome-style men. They're brothers, they look stupid with one with a stupid perpetual grin and another with a perpetual frown. They're quirky and have a big focus on service and hospitality. That's why they got the butler alts in Masters. That's why that very same event introduced Chili, Cress, and Cilan. That's why they were doing an Alice and Wonderland theme. That's why they had Darach as a character, a young man butler who cared for a much younger girl. It's fujo fantasy bait. What about Ingo missing someone important in his life that he can't remember? But any person not into these characters understands they're one-note and never have any focus put on their relationship. Nobody even knows if they're brothers or friends. But fujos do all the thinking instead because these characters are specifically designed to activate their almonds.
