>>53980744Well sounds like you're all for it, then. Abomasnow would still struggle, with five weaknesses and a quad weakness vs four resistances and a quad resistance, but Aurogus and HTable would, as you pointed out, actually have four weaknesses and resistances (albeit, one weakness is quad), which isn't too terrible considering. Alolan Sandslash would gain two new resistances, but still have two quad weaknesses, so I'm not sure if that helps overly much, but Crabominable lands on five weaknesses and five resistances, so it DEFINITELY benefits.
Honestly? I like this change. Ice resisting flying is another common suggestion, but it never quite sat right with me because flying doesn't need to be nerfed. This way, only already OP or borderline OP types (water and steel) are affected, and ice itself is brought into line with all the other types (with three weaknesses and three resistances), while still being a glass cannon type at the end of the day as it is (and arguably should be) known for, since whilst rock and water arguably cancel each other out, ice and steel are a lot less valuable to resist than fighting and fire.
I've also heard it suggested that ice should be immune to itself, instead of just resisted, but that honestly feels like a gimmick ("only type immune to itself!") more than something that would be actually efficacious to making ice in any way.
So yeah, make ice resist steel and water and widely distribute Freeze Dry. Pretty simple, actually.
>>53980844Totally agree on Pursuit. And as long as we're buffing bug to be good against fairy, we also need Silver Wind and Signal Beam back. Even without Pursuit, Ghost doesn't need a direct nerf in and of itself, though.
