No? Both games have very flat enviroments with bad textures. This game unironically doesn't look any better and its a static story based game.
The only "saving grace" is that this doesn't have bootleg unreal lighting making everything look extra shit.

This feels like a game that was supposed to be on the 3DS and just wound up in development hell for ages and only now are they shitting it out.

Also, was the first one even any good? I've heard it's braindead easy.

The gameplay is for babies but the mystery is truly interesting, they don't even reveal what's really going on completely in the first game, so there was room for theories until the movie.
