Which Switch emu is better? Don't want to give GF any more money so I'll be pirating the DLC. Also, will the DLC be compatible with emulated saves or will I need to start a new file when it releases?

As someone who doesn’t know dick about shit, why are certain emulators better for certain games? Can I count on Ryujinx to have the DLC working faster when it releases? I’m new to the whole Switch emulation thing

The qrd is basically that yuzu focuses on getting specific games to run using workarounds and shortcuts, while ryujinx focuses on generally accurate emulation. This is also why ryujinx is the go-to for leaked or new games but they may flip as yuzu works on them.
You just have to keep both on hand and swap between them depending on the game.

Both, for pure speed and performance Yuzu is best as its coded in C++ while Ryujinx is C#. However Ryujinx has more niche features such as Mii support. For sailing the seven seas, Ryujinx is supreme as they usually update the emu for new games as soon as they're able, while Yuzu actively keeps updates back until a games official release, and maybe slightly after.

Its natively compiled C# code, the GPU backend is HLSL and GSL. People who say "C#=slow C++=fast" are retards that do not know what they're talking about. Its not that simple.

Ryujinx is overall the better emulator in my personal experience. It runs basically everything flawlessly and accurately. Some people claim its slow compared to Yuzu but in my personal experience it runs basically everything at a locked 30/60fps. But to be fair I'm rocking an i7 and an RTX 3060 so that might be why I have such good performance regardless. You'll just have to try both and see what works for you. If accuracy is your main concern though I'd recommend Ryu

I have a Ryzen 5600x and rx580 and Ryujinx runs perfectly fine for me at native resolution. The only issues I have is sometimes objects in SV like trees or fences won't render or will flicker.

Incorrect. Nvidia reduced hash rate on the 30 series cards, 3060 Ti and up (the real Ampere models). But not to the 3060 because it was specifically made to be the best card for mining.

You'd be practically doubling the install size of any Pokemon game for a single save state. RPCS3 doesn't even handle them like older emulators do.
