usage =/= viability, bw was particularly well-known for kids spamming their starters on the ladder and having them tier higher as a result. it's why starters were thought of as noob traps until the more recent games. emboar getting spammed in RU is actually the specific reason the usage thresholds were changed in future gens

It’s not a snowflake forms. It’s a new branch off the Samurrott family tree.
Snowflake forms are battle only transformations: megas, gigas, etc (baisaly anything that CHARIZARD gets)

How can a slow frail mixed attacker (literally, he has 100 on both attacking stats and no other stat above 90) be on the same tier as Ursaluna, Enamorus and Sneasler?!
Kingambit and the dark/ground and Meowscarada are infinitely better dark mons.

I’m pretty sure Meganium is the best of the Johto starters in GSC. Not the highest bar to pass but that still puts it in UU and it has a niche of being a naturally bulky Swords Dancer who can also recover HP without using Rest.

That's because Game Freak flat out did not give a shit about the Johto starters. They were so determined to keep Johto under Kanto's shadow that they literally just gave them sloppy seconds from KANTOOOOO starters's shit stats. Meganium lucked out because Poison was flat out shit back then and the Gen 2 meta favoring a defensive playstyle.
