I suspect that most people who have played this game were shoehorned into using the starter, Lucario and the gen1 starter you're given through their playthrough. I know it isn't uncommon to use your starter throughout your playthrough (nothing wrong with that), but I feel like half of your team in X/Y becomes those pokes that were given to you. I wouldn't blame you for it either because they're strong, Mega Lucario (in particular) is awesome!

I just think most people had the same Pokemon X/Y experience unless you really go out of your way to ignore these awesome pokemon to do your own thing. Please, tell me I'm wrong.
