>>54008283Yes, but it was supposed to be the new and improved fire-starter for zoomers. You were supposed to pick it, that's why the only other fire Pokemon line in DP was the ponyta line. It was based on Sub Wukong, which gives it the cool factor, and was neutral to the newly introduced Stealth Rock rather than taking 50% damage on entry like Charizard. It also actually had a decent speed stat unlike Blaziken, wasn't made intentionally ugly so that people would drop it, and wasn't introduced in the same gen that Charizard got belly drum. It also didn't have its stats copy pasted directly from Charizard's stats like Typhlosion.
