Faithful recreation unless it required too much work. Kept old bugs, but cut Pokémon competition because fuck modeling all those cosmetics and making the mons dance.

Why should that matter if all you need to do is just set up sweep anyway? With Diantha you mash A six times, but with Cynthia you set up on Spiritomb and mash A six times. Wow!

Thats not an issue and is present in all games
in BW1 you cant get gen 1-3 pokemon until post-game

BDSP mogs most other Switch pokemon games
Its a good way to experience Sinnoh on the Switch. Unless you really LOVE frontier - theres not much reason to play Platinum over it.

BDSP is only 'good' by virtue of being a remake of a game that still lacks a sizable portion of nu-gen design philosophy. as an actual remake it's hot garbage and you could probably pass it off to any other dev under the sun and end up with a more satisfying result.
also PLA is still better

yanmega and gliscore and gen 4 pokemon. eevee gets two new evos in gen 4. the problem isnt pokemon saved for the post game, it new pokemon introduced in a game being unavailable until the post game. (excluding ledngends and mythicals)

there's no way that a team of devs entirely different from gamefreak just makes a mainline game that's lazier and shittier than swsh, sv, and possibly even lgpe, unless they get help from a gamefreak employee like masuda in the director's seat
