I cannot figure out how to make him not garbage, I just can't.

The best I've been able to settle on is loaded dice, pin missile, bullet seed, sucker punch, and stomping tantrum. Entirely wasting his special attack, and can't even set his own sandstorm. It literally is just asking for RNG to bless you and your opponent to miss. I don't even think you can 1 shot hippowdon with a full damage bullet seed.

I was in high school when it came out because I'm an oldfag and I remember people really being uncomfortable with the new designs, but honestly that's the only thing that generation 3 really did drastically different from the previous two generations. Even the staple Pokémon of that generation didn't become extremely good until the following generation, and there are others that were good only in that generation and then became utter garbage once they started messing with the core mechanics and actually playing with new designs, abilities and move ideas.

Incredibly badass single-stage mon, used him for the first time in a recent Omega Ruby run and he kicked ass. Think he was the MVP of the Steven battle. Him and Seviper need more attention.

Every Hoenn run I usually have this thing with me I love it and cant explain why. Would be a good support pokemon but it's biggest flaw is that for some reason it has no recovery I dont know why it looks like it would be one of those mons that just gets recover or wish

I’ve never really had a chance to try cacturne since I usually start with treecko in hoenn games but I’ve always loved the design

I love Hariyama. Enough HP to survive things, enough attack to make sure the enemy isn't getting back up. Also Cradilly, not super strong in game but still surprisingly decent bulk.
