In a mainline game? Only if the final evo is grass/electric, water/electric, or fire/electric, which I feel is very unlikely.

Johto and Unova and Kalos are the only games where I was completely fine boxing/wonder swapping my starter and running with other mons. I haven’t played anything past xy (way too many shit designs) but the new starters all look dogshit too
