The PlA lore was amazing. Especialy part of history repeating itself over and over and secrets of Ginko Guildand all story told in verses.
There is a lot of show not tell in this game.

I've been saying since LA released I think Unova has a lot of potential. You have the obvious original dragon story, but there's also lore of a pokemon/human war from the sword trio which would set up Keldeo well as a mascot mythical while the dragons story happens in the background like Dialga and Palkia did in LA.

But probably some of the more key myths and Legends that'd end up being explored I'd imagine would be:

>The Burnt Tower and the creation of the Legendary Beasts

>Deoxys first landing on the planet, possibly leading to the eventual building of the Mossdeep Space Station
>The Original Dragon's split (probably the best fit for PLA's established mould desu)
>The discovery of the Ultimate Weapon, Infinity Energy and possibly finally elaborating on the AZOTH kingdom
>An older, more traditional Alola around the time of Necrozma briefly taking Alola's light in the past, possibly with far more rural areas that ends up having visitors from Kanto who bring exports but also introduce Kantonian Mon to Alola, possibly you could also have some native new species that overtime end up being outcompeted or predated to extinction by the Kanto Mon, could feature more perilous trials, Acerola's royal family and a more UB like Solgaleo/Lunala/Necrozma with Beast Boost and more fearsome appearances, before they settled into the human world

And that's without the more broad lore of Pokemon that resided in Hisui, being much more violent, open to confrontation and far less domesticated by their modern counterparts, with some exceptions, but generally the Pokemon are far less friendly than todays'. Not just in Hisui, but much of the world at the time.

Zekrom, Reshiram, and Kyurem were originally 1 dragon, we only ever got Kyurem White and Kyurem black. We obviously need a Kyurem Complete. Also for good measure, make a fusion of Zekrom and Reshiram

Stop wanting a story set in the past of Unova, you want that then watch the victini movie.

The unova regions entire point of existing is to be an urban modern region, a legends style game does not work unless it's set in the distant future and the entire region is one giant metropolis.
